Happy 2015!

Here is to a new year and new beginnings! I have to say that 2014 was one of the toughest years of my life but yet one of the most blessed. We spent 27 of our days at Vanderbilt Childrens and countless days at Jackson Clinic but as we begin the year of 2015, both my kids are doing great! I chose to look back at the many blessings of the year and not the bad.
January- We learned that Paislee would be having open heart surgery with the CHIEF surgeon of the hospital. We chose to look at it as we would have the very best!
February- Sawyer celebrated his FIRST birthday! We had a great first year of memories with him.

Paislee made it through her heart surgery and we had angels watching over us as the doctors caught the blockage just in time.

March- Rick celebrated a birthday and Paislee celebrated her FIFTH birthday!

Also, we were blessed with the news that Paislee's heart tumor was CANCER FREE!!
April- Sawyer FINALLY took his first steps and walked!
May-Paislee graduated from PreK!

June- Paislee had reflux test, biopsy on lungs, and nasal biopsies. They just found bacteria in lungs but no diseases in lungs or in throat!!
July- Paislee was tested for allergies and all was negative! I celebrated a birthday!
Both kids went to the dentist and this was Sawyer's first visit and they had excellent reports!

August-Paislee lost her first tooth and started her first year of Kindergarten!

September
- We got the report that NO MORE TUMORS were found in Paislee's heart!!
October- Rick and I celebrated our seventh wedding anniversary.
Paislee completed another ear surgery and her ear bones were connected this time on this ear!

November-Thanksgiving was a success with no sickness and we received a break from Vanderbilt until the first of the year!
December- Despite the flu, our house was pretty calm. We were able to be well by Christmas Day and see all of our family for the holidays.

The year 2014 brought many many moments we hope to never experience again, but yet made our marriage, family, and faith stronger and for that we are grateful. Though, we know we still have more surgeries planned for the year 2015 for Paislee and Sawyer is beginning to hit the lovely "two year old stage" we are excited to see what is in store for our family! We would like to thank you for your many thoughts and prayers that you have given us throughout the year and we wish you and your family a very happy new year!!
