I haven't blogged in a couple of weeks and I have gotten messages from friends and family members checking up on us. We are doing great which is a good thing! We have been enjoying life and the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. We had a great Thanksgiving. Paislee just ended her therapeutic dose of antibiotics so we are in a waiting game with those. Honestly, I think they really helped. She only had to go to the doctor once and that was just to get a flu shot and that was a NIGHTMARE! Try giving a five year old a shot who does not understand why she gets one, since she is not sick. Let's just say we had to call my nieces in to come meet us in Jackson, They had to come over and play all night for that one. That took a huge bribe. So sorry for all the people at the doctors office whose ears are probably still ringing from the screaming. We then have watched our leg every night for the past two weeks waiting for a bruise because that is what the blood thinner injections did. I keep telling myself one day she will not ever remember any of this.... But is that day going to come??? Paislee goes back to Vanderbilt the first week in January to have the packing vacuumed out of her ears and have a hearing test. We will then see if the surgery was successful and will schedule the other surgery as well as the replacement of the hearing bones. As of right now our prescription with her is; "HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS" and we couldn't be happier!
Sawyer is jabbering away! One day he is just going to spit out a sentence we will understand! He is saying some words, but he is too cute jabbering and he even uses hand motions while talking. He loves singing his ABCs and Rockabye Baby. He also loves to dance. I have figured out that Ricks idea of " babysitting" while I am gone somewhere is to turn on music videos and he lets the kids dance to their hearts content. I bet Paislee knows more 80's songs than I do and Sawyer knows how to shake his hips.
Paislee also had her Kindergarten Thanksgiving Feast and her school had a Family Holiday Reading Night which were both awesome. She loves school and has the best teacher which of course makes our year even better! We have two more weeks until Christmas break from school and we can not wait!
