Day 3 quick update

Just a quick update:
First of all, Cinderella bear has a new outfit!! We are now Ariel the mermaid to match our Ariel gown!! Paislee's chest x rays came back and we are waiting to take drainage tubes out until tommorrow ( hopefully). She is still receiving pain medicine around the clock. The plan is to decrease those once the drainage tubes are out.  She is also on Lasik for fluid She did eat a couple of bites of a chicken nugget which is progress and half of a red cherry icee which we had to make several stops to find. Her blood pressure and oxygen level are finally stable.  The blood thinner shots were so traumatizing for Paislee that they finally inserted a port which we have to change every seven days. Now we will have one poke a week instead of 14!! Thank goodness.
The Nashville Zoo came and brought a chinchilla. The patients got to pet it and watch it play in an exercise ball. This was Paislee's first time out of the room. She sat for 20 whole minutes to watch the show. We then went back to our room to let her rest. Overall it was an okay day. She is just very tired! We all are. It is very exhausting. Our cardiologist said the surgeon taped the surgery and everyone will study it. They still have not received pathology reports yet. Thanks again for your thoughts and prayers.
