The echocardiogram was great and our EKG showed some improvement so that means over time, she is healing. We are also watching her incision and the scar tissue buildup. Her body is beginning to recognize her new path of blood flow. Don't get me wrong, this is not the end and we are in no means dismissed, but we are improved and on our way to a full "unrestricted" life. We had a long morning with an hour long echocardiogram and a long EKG.
The best part was Paislee received an arrangement of balloons and a Disney World gift card from "Anna and Elsa." We have a trip to Disney World planned and Paislee received the "OK" to go and ride ALL the rides!!
That was very important! On top of that, a ballerina from the Nashville Ballet was at the hospital and Paislee got to go up on stage and dance with her. That also made her day.
I have to say after all that we have been through this year, today was a great time at the hospital. I was so glad that Paislee saw it in a different light today and not just as a sad place or a place that she is going to get pricked and prodded. To be honest with you, I needed it too. As a parent, it does put it's wear on you driving all the time to Nashville and taking her to the doctor and watching her cry and scream. You do not ever want to see your children like that. I was over the moon to have this experience with her today. Thank you again for all your prayers and support. We still have a couple more surgeries and a sleep study in a couple of weeks, but today our heart is happy. Literally!!
