It has been a while since I posted but we have been so busy. On Labor Day weekend, I took Paislee to visit Aunt Margaret and Uncle Winkey since it had been a while since they have seen Paislee and it was also Uncle Winkey's birthday. The trip was planned a couple of weeks before Labor Day. The week we were leaving Tropical Storm Lee came into the coast. With the storm approaching we wondered if we should even go. My friend Brenda came with us. If you truly know me, you know I am all for excitement and taking risks. Since brenda and I were feeling a little "old" since we approached age 30 this year, we thought why not? Let's do this. And....we did. It took us almost 11 hours to make it. Mostly the storm was just bringing in rain, rain, rain. We even went for a swim in the rain and Paislee loved the swimming pool and didn't want to get out. We enjoyed spending time with family. Toward the end of the weekend, the rain was causing flooding and oh it flooded. The last days it was a couple of inches in my aunts basement. It was a fun trip and we spent lots of great time with wonderful family!
