Update

Okay.. now I see why I haven't updated this blog in forever it seems. Last week we woke up on easter morning to my child looking like she had swallowed an easter egg. She had a huge knot underneath her ear and could nto turn her neck. Rick and I frantically called the doctors office only to find out that just the urgent clinic was opened since it was Easter Sunday. The doctor really had no one diagnosis what it was. he gave her a shot and then steroids and an antiobiotic and told us to go to our ENT. We got into out ENT at Memphis on Tuesday. I picked up my mom as she is always the one to go to the doctor with us it seems. Our appointment was at 8:30. As soon as the ENT came in. He asked us if we had packed to stay. My mom and I looked at each other and he told us that Paislee was going to the hospital now. Okay..just great. She had an absess lymph node. Leave it to my kid to get something off the wall. So after IV and blood work, my mom stayed with Paislee while I went back to pack a bag. Of course there were tornado warnings that night, so mom and Paislee got to spend "quality time" in the hallway of the hospital. Paislee had a CT scan on Wednesday and by the time we got back to the room. The nurse informed that Rick and I that we would be worked into the surgery schedule on Thursday. Okay these were the same doctors who thought IV antiobiotics would be help. So we figured the CT scan was pretty bad. The next day Paislee could have nothing to eat or drink until after surgery. Surgery was not until 6:00 when we finally were worked in. That is 6:00 PM. What a day. They made an incision, removed the infection and drained it and Paislee was discharged Saturday. Yep 5 days in the hospital. So I thought okay we are on antibiotics...surely we will be well at least 10 days...WRONG. Now a week later we went to the doctor again only to find urinary tract infection. That is with antiobiotics...just great. But we are going to make it. We always have. Paislee is a fighter!!
